Responsible for performing electric distribution line design, including AutoCAD drafting as a primary activity, and assist with all areas of electrical engineering division responsibility. Perform engineering division field surveying and staking tasks. Work directly with internal and external stakeholders to prepare and manage work associated with provision or improvement of electric service. Research technically and economically viable options used to prepare designs for extension and modifications to the electric utility distribution system, assemble project documentation and maintain organized files and records. Utilize AutoCAD to prepare detailed drawings to support the functions of the Distribution Electrical Engineering division, including but not limited to preparation of details plans for construction of electric facilities, source information for creating drawings that may be rough sketches, engineering notes, project drawings, drawings from developer, catalogs, manufacturer's literature, field gathered data, easement, survey, and verbal instruction. Draft detailed plans, construction drawings, topographic profiles, work order layouts, maps, and related drawings to be used in the planning, design, and construction of electric facilities. Work with and assist internal stakeholders to complete necessary fieldwork; assist with production of project documents, standards, specification, and other items as required. Assist with calculations, drawings, and other items necessary to support electrical and distribution structural design. Assist with interpreting and implementing the National Electrical Safety Code and other Federal, State, and/or Local and regulatory codes. Assist with developing, documenting, reviewing, and completing all aspects of assigned projects; prepare and maintain files and documentation for identifying the most limiting series elements for the distribution system.
