About The Position

This role involves traveling to customer sites, both on and offshore, to assess, troubleshoot, and repair electric actuators and automated valve assemblies. The technician will be responsible for ensuring safety compliance, communicating with clients, and documenting repair activities. The position also includes training new employees and potentially working off-shift or overtime as needed. The technician must be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment and follow company policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Use of basic hand and measurement tools
  • Some lifting, bending and long-term standing required.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Available to work overtime including some weekends.
  • Able and willing to work on-call and off shift as required by customers or management.
  • Fulfil all company safety training requirements.
  • Customer site requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Travel to customer sites (on and offshore) to meet with customers and discuss operational problems with equipment.
  • Perform Pre-Work JSA (Job Safety Analysis).
  • Assess equipment condition and problems, and make appropriate repairs.
  • Communicate and educate between the company and clients.
  • Communicate company deliverables to the client and ensure accuracy and timeliness of all internal and external communications and reporting.
  • Ensure overall safety of the work environment, including compliance with company, client, OSHA, and other applicable standards.
  • Perform Behavioral Safety Observations as needed.
  • Ensure work area is clean, secure, and well maintained.
  • Assist in training/mentoring of new employees.
  • Convey obtained knowledge from seminar/training sessions.
  • Troubleshoot and repair control and automated valve assemblies.
  • Follow John H. Carter Co., Inc. policies, procedures and methodologies.
  • Work collaboratively with development staff and support staff to maintain thorough knowledge of product capabilities and ensure precise communications.
  • Fulfill all company safety training requirements and customer site requirements.
  • Fill out CWX service-related documentation.
  • Exercise the stop work authority program.
