The Elections Division of the County Clerk-Recorder's Office is hiring approximately 100 temporary Extra Help employees to support the November 3, 2026, Gubernatorial Election and help serve voters across all 10 cities in Ventura County. Join a fast-paced, mission-driven team and gain meaningful public service experience while supporting one of the County's most important civic functions. Extra help employees are hired to perform temporary work and are paid on an hourly basis. They work on call, which means their work hours may vary from day to day, and they may need to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends. Hours are driven by the Elections Division workload and may be less than 8 hours/day. Extra help employees are limited to working a maximum of 720 hours per fiscal year, which runs from July 1 to June 30. There are currently three (3) assignments available: Elections Office Worker I, Elections Office Worker II, and Elections Office Worker III.
