About The Position

The Tennessee Department of State, Division of Elections is seeking an Elections Data and Analytics Manager. The mission of the Office of the Secretary of State is to exceed the expectations of our customers, the taxpayers, by operating at the highest levels of accuracy, cost-effectiveness, and accountability in a customer-centered environment. This role is supervised by the Coordinator of Elections and is responsible for statewide election data governance, voter registration data integrity, business intelligence, reporting, analytics, data integration, and performance measurement. The position serves as the Division's subject matter expert on election data, ensuring accuracy, security, compliance, and accessibility of election information. Responsibilities include assisting with ballot review and approval, producing and analyzing election-related state and federal reports, and maintaining/updating the elections mobile app. The role also assists in planning and coordinating computer functions for the Elections Division, including data processing, integrating the statewide voter registration system with county systems, improving election reporting capabilities, and analyzing/resolving technical software issues for the Division and 95 county election commission offices, encompassing cybersecurity practices.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Information Systems, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related technical field.
Must pass a background check for security requirements.
5+ years in database administration, business intelligence, or data analytics.
Advanced SQL Server experience.
Experience with reporting and dashboard tools.
Experience managing large data environments.
