The Election Security Guard is responsible for providing a safe, secure, professional, and neutral environment at Clark County election facilities, voting locations, and related election operations. The Security Guard will monitor activity, control access, deter unauthorized activity, respond to security concerns, and assist election personnel and the public while maintaining strict professionalism and political neutrality. Security personnel must remain alert, courteous, and impartial while protecting election workers, voters, election equipment, ballots, property, and facilities. Election-Specific Responsibilities: The Security Guard may be assigned to early voting locations, Election Day Vote Centers, election offices, ballot-related facilities, or other locations designated by Clark County. Responsibilities may include: Securing election facilities before, during, and after voting operations. Protecting restricted areas and election equipment. Monitoring access to areas designated for election personnel only. Supporting the safe movement of election materials and personnel. Reporting attempts to gain unauthorized access to restricted areas. Preventing threats, harassment, intimidation, violence, or disruptive conduct from compromising election operations. Maintaining a safe environment without interfering with a voter's lawful right to vote. Following all instructions from authorized Election Department personnel and security supervision.
