About The Position

This document outlines various election support positions and their responsibilities during an election. The positions include Ballot Officer, Revisions Officer, Tabulator Officer, and Greeter. The closing date for applications is 11:59 PM, Monday, August 3, 2026. Voting places are open from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM, and election officials are expected to be present before opening and after closing for setup, take-down, and processing of any remaining electors.

Requirements

• Must be available to work on election day.
• Must be present before the opening of the polls and following the close of polls.
• Must assist with setup and take-down.
• Must assist with the processing of any electors who are in the voting place at 8:00 PM.

Responsibilities

• Receiving voters, electronically recording each voter on the Voters’ List, and issuing the appropriate ballot.
• Recording any required declarations, objections, or related notes on the Voters’ List and completing the ballot reconciliation form.
• Processing electronic revisions and additions to the Voters’ List at the voting place.
• Assisting voters with inserting their ballots into the tabulator.
• Producing tabulation tapes at the close of polls and assisting with the secure return of voting equipment, ballots, and account summaries.
• Greeting electors as they arrive at the voting place, assisting them in entering the building, and reminding them of identification requirements.
• Monitoring the parking area and immediate surroundings of the voting place and reporting any vehicles or individuals displaying campaign-related materials to the Supervisor/DRO.
