About The Position

Volt is hiring an Election Setup/General Labor in Las Cruces, NM. This is a Temporary project opportunity from October 14, 2026 - November 6, 2026. The role involves setting up and taking down equipment at polling sites, loading/unloading supplies, running and securing cords, labeling and organizing equipment, assisting with packing materials for mailing, and providing basic on-site support. The schedule is Monday-Saturday from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm, with potential for varied and increased hours based on project needs. The pay rate is $17.50/hr.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Comfortable using basic technology, including computers and printers.
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. independently.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Strong teamwork skills and willingness to assist wherever needed.
• Adaptable and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Open and flexible availability, including evenings and weekends.
• MUST have an open and flexible schedule.
• Must speak English for training.

Nice To Haves

• Previous warehouse, moving, event setup, logistics, or general labor experience preferred.
• Experience handling equipment and supplies safely.
• Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.
• Bilingual candidates accepted

Responsibilities

• Set up and take down equipment at polling sites (tables, bins, cables, etc.).
• Load, unload, and move supplies and equipment.
• Run and secure cords safely according to instructions.
• Label and organize equipment for each polling location.
• Assist with packing and preparing materials for mailing.
• Provide basic on-site support as needed.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
