About The Position

This is a volunteer position and any amount of time is appreciated. An election observer, often referred to as a "poll watcher," is an individual authorized to monitor various stages of the electoral process to ensure transparency, fairness, and adherence to legal protocols. In summary, election observers serve as impartial witnesses to the electoral process, helping to promote transparency and public confidence in the outcomes of elections. Requirements

• Observers are required to undergo training provided by the County.
• Must adhere to a code of conduct to ensure that their presence does not disrupt the electoral process.

Responsibilities

• Monitoring Voting Procedures: Observers are present at polling stations to watch the voting process, ensuring that it is conducted according to established rules and that voters can cast their ballots without obstruction or intimidation.
