About The Position

This is a volunteer position and any amount of time is appreciated. The Election Observer Coordinator supports the county party by organizing and scheduling trained Election Observers during the observation period. This role is primarily administrative and logistical, ensuring proper scheduling, clear communication, and reliable point-of-contact support throughout the observation timeframe. This position manages Election Observers when the Manager is gone, ensures they are scheduled, confirmed, and supported in carrying out their assigned responsibilities. Works with the Election Observer Manager.

Requirements

• Strong organizational and scheduling skills.
• Comfortable using CRM tools or willing to learn.
• Clear and timely communication (phone, email, text).
• Ability to remain neutral, professional, and reliable under time-sensitive conditions.
• Team player with a commitment to election integrity and compliance with local laws.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and update Election Observer scheduling using the party’s CRM system.
• Communicate shift needs and sign-up procedures to volunteers.
• Act as the primary contact for observers during the election observation timeframe.
• Provide logistical information to observers (e.g., location, reporting times, documentation requirements).
• Communicate promptly with party leadership about scheduling issues, gaps, or urgent needs.
• Track attendance, shift changes, and coverage to ensure all priority sites are staffed.
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and adhere to all election observation rules and county party policies.
• Notifies county of scheduled observers if schedule changes.
