About The Position

This role is for an eLearning & Facilitation Experience Specialist who is passionate about public speaking, facilitation, and delivering knowledge-based presentations to help individuals navigate the world of pensions. The specialist will influence education through innovative eLearning, turning complex information into clear, engaging, and easy-to-understand content. The role involves creating fresh, innovative eLearning experiences and blending synchronous and asynchronous learning to keep learners engaged and supported. A typical day includes delivering virtual webinars and in-person sessions, helping members and employers understand pension benefits and processes, and collaborating to design educational resources. This includes developing customized eLearning solutions such as instructional design, online training development, storyboard creation, content development, platform integration, and graphic design.

Requirements

  • At least two years of experience facilitating workshops or seminars for diverse audiences
  • Strong facilitation skills and familiarity with best practices in adult learning
  • Excellent relationship-building and customer service skills, with a focus on creating positive and respectful interactions
  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design and 2-3 years experience in eLearning design and LMS experience
  • Relevant Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered
  • Experience in instructional design and eLearning content development
  • Familiarity with pension plans administered by APS, including relevant legislation and regulations
  • Advanced skills in Articulate (Storyline), Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
  • Proficient in the use of Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Suite.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Strong comprehension of LMS technology
  • Knowledge of SharePoint and SharePoint Online tools and resources
  • Solid understanding of best practices for the use of technology-mediated learning.
  • Proven ability to effectively prioritize work and implement solutions in a fast-paced environment within tight timelines
  • Ability to understand complex information and re-write it in a suitable learning format
  • Must have a valid Class 5 driver’s license; use of a personal vehicle is required
  • Travel in Alberta is a requirement of this position

  • Collaborating with clients and team members to design practical and innovative educational resources that meet member needs.
