About The Position
This is a .2 FTE (LTS) position for an ELD Teacher at Westview Elementary School. The effective date of employment is anticipated to be from September 14, 2026, until the end of the 2026/27 school year. The application deadline is September 3, 2026, at 4:00 p.m. The role involves creating and planning ELD curriculum and instruction for English Learners, teaching ELD standards aligned with the district's curriculum, and collaborating with colleagues, specialists, and coaches to support classroom teachers and the needs of multilingual learners.
Requirements
- Licensed by the State of Minnesota to teach ESL
- Strong general academic background
- Ability to relate positively to students, staff and community
- Demonstrated planning and organizational skills
- Commitment to equity and culturally responsive teaching
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
Nice To Haves
- Demonstrated experience and proficiency working with a culturally, ethnically, racially and socioeconomically diverse school community is preferred.
