About The Position

Tutors deliver targeted ELA and Math test-preparation intervention for students in grades 3–8 who are living in temporary housing. The program will run on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM. As an Education Champion, you'll provide one-on-one and small group tutoring in core subjects like Math, Reading, Writing, Social Studies, Science, and Regents exam prep. You’ll collaborate with teachers and school leaders to deliver engaging, personalized learning strategies that help students thrive academically and personally.

Requirements

  • Degree-seeking student or graduate with a minimum 3.0 GPA in Education or a relevant field.
  • Available to work 10-35 hours per week at an assigned school.
  • Ready to work alongside teachers, school leaders, and fellow tutors to maximize student success.
