About The Position
Excellence Community Schools (ECS) is a Charter Management Organization (CMO) supporting schools in the Bronx, NY, and Stamford, CT. Our mission is to prepare young scholars for success in top high schools by fostering their intellectual, artistic, social, emotional, and ethical development through a challenging and rigorous academic curriculum with a focus on college preparation. We provide a supportive environment with high expectations, utilizing a differentiated, project-based learning approach to develop analytical and critical-thinking skills. This role involves revising and creating ELA assessments for grades 5-8 for the 2026-27 school year.
Requirements
- English degree
- Experience in creating high-quality assessments under a deadline
- Must provide a sample of their work

- Some teaching experience is preferred
