About The Position

Performs electrocardiograms in a variety of settings, including outpatient areas, the Emergency Department, and other in-house locations. Maintains equipment and keeps sufficient inventory to support efficient EKG services. Performs clerical duties such as computer entry, filing, recording, and mailing reports as needed. Completes all test orders in EPIC to ensure appropriate charges are processed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of EKG training, either through an exclusive EKG training program or as part of another educational program. Prior work experience that included performing EKGs may be considered as fulfilling this requirement.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.

Nice To Haves

• Six months of experience as an EKG technician is preferred.
