Requirements
- High School Degree
Nice To Haves
- Completion of an accredited EKG/ECG Technician training program
- Current EKG Technician certification (e.g., CET or CCT) preferred
- Current or recent experience performing EKG tracings in a clinical or hospital setting
- Experience with EMR systems, charge capture, and clinical documentation workflows
- Experience with Holter monitor application and processing
- Familiarity with stress testing procedures (or willingness to be trained)
Responsibilities
- Accurately processes accompanying paperwork, charges, editing, filing, etc.
- Performs quality EKGs in a timely manner, which are clear and easily interpreted.
- Maintains equipment and cleans as necessary. Reports any equipment issues to Asst. Manager or Supervisor as well as appropriate departments. Works with Clinical Engineering, I.S., or secretary regarding any EKG cart, IECG EKG system, or Holter system concerns.
- Applying holters, assisting in department duties or GXT lab as needed.
- Answers phone promptly and communicating with all customers appropriately. Seeks resolution to requests, example: sending test results to office.
