About The Position

Performs routine electrocardiograms. The role requires knowledge and ability to care for the age-specific needs of the population served, as assessed through mandatory training and supervisor observation. The EKG Tech files patient reports and assists physicians with the HIS system. May supervise or precept students, volunteers, or new employees.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Medical terminology required.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrocardiograms (EKGs).
• Demonstrate knowledge and ability to care for the age-specific needs of the population served, as measured by completion of mandatory training and direct observation by a supervisor.
• File patient reports and assist physicians with the HIS system.
• May supervise or precept students, volunteers, or new employees.
