About The Position
Operate electrocardiography equipment to record the electromotive variations in heart muscle actions; assist in the coding, filing and distribution of EKG data. Assist in emergency situations by initiating and/or assisting in emergency procedures prescribed by Emory Healthcare policies.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
- None
- Current AHA/ARC BLS certification
- Successful completion of an HHC Basic Rhythm Interpretation Course or CLEP Exam within nine (9) months of hire
- Utilizes a variety of diagnostic equipment and office supplies
Nice To Haves
- Upon completion of training period, may attempt to satisfy requirements to become a Certified Cardiograph Technician as set forth by the National Society of Cardiovascular Testing and Cardiology Credentialing International
