About The Position
The EKG Monitor Technician observes and analyzes cardiac rhythms of monitored patients and reports and responds appropriately to the Registered Nurse when a patient's rhythm changes. This is a per diem/casual position at SEMC - Sutter Eden Medical Center, with varied shifts of 12 hours and variable days. Weekend work is required every other weekend. The position is non-exempt and has 0 weekly hours listed. The posted pay range is $37.08 to $46.31 per hour. The job description states that benefits are not offered for this position.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent education/experience.
- Completion of an EKG monitoring course.
- Completion of Monitor Technician Training.
- Medical terminology knowledge.
- Cardiac arrhythmia recognition knowledge.
- Knowledge of cardiac drugs and drips.
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification.
- Computer system skills.
- Ability to use a photocopier and fax.
Nice To Haves
- Previous telemetry monitoring experience.
