About The Position
The EKG Monitor Technician observes and analyzes cardiac rhythms of monitored patients and reports and responds appropriately to the Registered Nurse regarding changes in a patient’s rhythm. The position is at Sutter Eden Medical Center and is per diem/casual, with a varied schedule and 12-hour shifts. Weekend work is required every other weekend.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent education/experience.
- Completion of an EKG monitoring course.
- Completion of Monitor Technician Training.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
- Knowledge of cardiac arrhythmia recognition.
- Knowledge of cardiac drugs and drips.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
Nice To Haves
- Previous telemetry monitoring experience.
