About The Position

Willamette Education Service District is accepting applications for a full-time (40 hours per week) EI.ECSE Specialist position. This role requires a Master’s Degree, or significant progress toward a Master's degree, from a four-year college or university, in Special Education or Early Intervention/Early Childhood Special Education. Alternatively, a combination of a bachelor’s degree and experience that would allow the individual to obtain authorization under the Oregon Department of Education EI.ECSE specialist authorization is acceptable. The successful candidate must have knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices in early childhood education, experience at the preschool level for children with disabilities (birth to five years of age), and evaluation/assessment experience for children (birth to five years of age). The specialist will work as a member of the Early Learning Department, follow a 190-day calendar, and be based at the Willamette ESD Marion Center in Salem, OR. The position is scheduled to begin on August 21, 2026.

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree, or significant progress toward a Master's degree, from a four-year college or university, in Special Education or Early Intervention/Early Childhood Special Education
  • or a combination of a bachelor’s degree and experience that would allow the individual to obtain authorization under the Oregon Department of Education EI.ECSE specialist authorization
