We are now looking for an EHSQ Specialist for our Fontana, CA site. This role ensures safe, compliant, and high-quality operations across Kemira’s production sites. The team manages risk, promotes safe behaviors, and drives continuous improvement to protect people, assets, and the environment while supporting reliable, efficient manufacturing performance. Lead and continuously improve the Environment, Health, Safety & Quality (EHSQ) safety management system. This position is located in Fontana, CA, United States.

Requirements

  • EHS/EHSQ leadership experience in manufacturing, chemical production, or regulated industrial environments.
  • Working knowledge of environmental, health, safety, and quality regulations and programs.
  • Demonstrated experience building and running EHS management systems: training matrices, delivering training, compliance calendars, audits, corrective actions, and metrics.
  • Proven ability to lead investigations, risk assessments, and cross-functional corrective action execution.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to engage diverse teams across all levels.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and address EHSQ challenges.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and implement site Environment, Health, Safety, and Quality (EHSQ) programs and management systems.
  • Provide visible EHSQ leadership through field engagement, coaching, and reinforcement of safe behaviors and risk controls.
  • Conducting site audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety and quality performance.
  • Own the site compliance calendar and ensure on-time completion of all required tasks, inspections, and reporting and required actions.
  • Manage site regulatory permits and compliance programs adhering to local requirements.
  • Maintain audit-ready documentation and lead responses to regulatory inquiries and inspections.
  • Champion safe behaviors and risk controls through visible leadership, coaching, and field engagement.
  • Lead and coordinate Management of Change (MOC) to ensure EHSQ risks and requirements are integrated into changes.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
