About The Position

Volt is immediately hiring for an Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Technician at Pomona, CA. As an Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Technician you will: Assist with accident and incident investigations and corrective action tracking. Conduct routine EHS audits, safety inspections, and facility tours. Support environmental, health, and safety training programs, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO). Maintain EHS records, reports, databases, and compliance documentation. Assist with hazardous waste management, storage, disposal, and shipment preparation. Monitor contractor compliance with safety regulations and site requirements. Support fire protection systems, emergency response activities, and safety initiatives. Perform ergonomic assessments and recommend workplace improvements. Assist with environmental permits, recycling programs, and sustainability projects. Review equipment installations and process changes for EHS compliance. Prepare environmental reports and ensure timely regulatory submissions. Partner with supervisors and managers to reduce workplace injuries and safety risks. Promote a safe and healthy work environment for employees, visitors, and contractors.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 2-3 years of Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) experience in manufacturing, industrial, or production environments.
  • Strong computer skills, including experience with spreadsheets and reporting tools.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards.
  • Ability to conduct inspections, audits, training, and incident investigations.
  • Experience with OSHA, MIOSHA, EPA, DOT, MDEQ, or other environmental and safety regulations.
  • Background in Fire Department, Emergency Response, Rescue Squad, or Industrial Safety.
  • Experience in industrial hygiene, hazardous waste management, and environmental compliance.
  • Knowledge of fire protection systems and emergency preparedness programs.
