About The Position

T1 Energy is bringing solar manufacturing back to the U.S. by building a domestic solar supply chain. Our mission is to invigorate America with scalable, reliable, and low-cost energy. Our fully operational 5GW solar module facility in Wilmer, Texas, can manufacture more than 20,000 modules every 24 hours. We're focused on building advanced American manufacturing and we're passionate about engineering a better future filled with abundant energy. T1 Energy is looking to hire an EHS Technician. Under the direction of the Sr. EHS Supervisor, the EHS Technician, will help assist specialists by collecting data on work environments and implementing the worksite improvements.

Requirements

  • Understand regulatory requirements (TCEQ, EPA, etc.)
  • Experience in ISO 14001 and 45001 certifications.
  • Ability to create new policies and procedures.
  • 0-1+ years of experience in Manufacturing Safety.
  • Minimum of High School Diploma or GED.
  • Environmental regulations experience preferred.
  • Experience writing EHS reports to regulatory authorities.
  • Excellent communication skills with individuals of varied backgrounds. Ability to present in front of large groups.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 products.

Nice To Haves

  • OSHA Certification preferred but not necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct employee training programs that might cover a range of topics, such as how to use safety equipment correctly and how to respond in an emergency.
  • Make sure that workers are using required protective gear, such as masks, smocks, gloves, etc.
  • Demonstrate use of safety equipment and ensure proper use by workers.
  • Investigate incidents to determine the cause and possible prevention.
  • Prepare written reports of their findings.
  • Collaborate with management to establish and maintain ISO 14001 & ISO 45001 certification.
  • Contribute to compliance audits of site programs and policies and deliver audit outcomes to Sr. EHS Supervisor.
  • Manage the T1 Energy document portal and the compliance calendar.
  • Examine worksites for environmental or physical factors that could harm employee health, safety, comfort, or performance.
  • Conduct safety and environmental training
  • Comply with all company Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies, procedures, and safe work instructions.
  • Promptly identify and report hazards, near misses, and incidents to the supervisor or HSE team.
  • Participate in mandatory HSE training sessions, drills, and safety meetings.
  • Support team initiatives to improve workplace safety and environmental practices.
