About The Position

SKF Aerospace is a first-tier supplier to the global aviation industry, specializing in the design and manufacture of complex, high-performance, high-value bearings in steel and advanced ceramics. Our production technologies and products are integral to the aerospace industry and the world’s leading aircraft jet engine and gearbox manufacturers. The Supervisor of Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) is responsible for leading all environmental, health, and safety programs at the Falconer, NY facility. This role ensures compliance with SKF corporate standards as well as local, state, and federal regulatory requirements, while promoting a strong safety culture and continuous improvement across the organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and hands-on experience with environmental, health, and safety regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Strong computer skills, including system administration and the creation of professional communication and training materials.
  • Ability to develop, present, and communicate technical information clearly to all levels of employees.
  • Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and influencing without direct authority.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with all SKF, local (Jamestown), State of New York, and Federal environmental, health, and safety regulations.
  • Maintain and continuously improve the SKF Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Management System.
  • Administer and maintain the SKF Compass EHS system, including environmental and safety data tracking.
  • Ensure compliance with SKF and Factory Mutual Global Risk Management requirements.
  • Chair the Environmental Health and Safety Committee and facilitate cross-functional engagement.
  • Lead EHS auditing activities and ensure timely corrective actions.
  • Develop, coordinate, and deliver EHS training programs for employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Promote EHS awareness through effective communication and internal marketing initiatives.
  • Oversee all aspects of Environmental, Health, and Safety programs, policies, and procedures associated with local facilities.
