Requirements

  • Working knowledge of safety & environmental compliance. (OSHA, RCRA, DOT)
  • Strong analytical, communication and presentation skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint & Forms)
  • Familiar with manufacturing processes.
  • Must be able to work day shift and some off shift hours to support safety activities across 3 shifts.
  • Bachelor’s degree; Prior work experience with relevant EHS duties can be substituted for degree requirement.
  • Prefer minimum of 1 year of experience of Environment, Health, and Safety Field.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred certifications: OSHA 10 / 30, RCRA, DOT, HAZWOPER 8 or higher, DOT, First Aid, CPR & AED Training, Fall Protection Competent Person, confined Space Competent Person, and/or NFPA 70E.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with all EHS regulations, internal policies, and best practices.
  • Embed environmental and safety considerations into all work practices.
  • Engage in incident investigations, including root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Monitor and ensure closure of corrective actions from safety incidents and suggestions.
  • Support operations and staff with safety processes as needed.
  • Foster a strong safety culture through effective communication and relationship-building across the organization.
  • Offer recommendations for safety improvements and maintain safety equipment.
  • Provide guidance to the Safety and Steering Committees.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and audits and maintain comprehensive EHS records.
  • Serve as an alternate emergency coordinator and First Responder and develop safety training and programs.
