Come and join us! We are seeking an experienced EHS Specialist (NAM) for this onsite role to lead and manage comprehensive environment, health, and safety programs across office-based operations. This role is responsible for developing, implementing, and continuously improving EHS policies, procedures, and compliance programs to ensure alignment with federal, state, and local regulations, particularly in highly regulated states such as California and Colorado.

Requirements

  • Lead and manage comprehensive environment, health, and safety programs across office-based operations.
  • Responsible for developing, implementing, and continuously improving EHS policies, procedures, and compliance programs.
  • Ensure alignment with federal, state, and local regulations, particularly in highly regulated states such as California and Colorado.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, review, and implement EHS policies, programs, and procedures to be used throughout the company.
  • Provide regular review and improvement of existing EHS programs, procedures, and policies.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations pertaining to environment and occupational health and safety.
  • Create and maintain required EHS permits, such as air, water, waste, pressurized vessels, emergency response, etc.
  • Identify risks within the company’s business operations; develop and implement programs to mitigate.
  • Identify new and emerging EHS regulatory requirements; develop and implement programs and procedures to ensure compliance.
  • Perform accident and incident investigations and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
  • Provide follow-up to action plans from audits, self-inspections, and accident/incident investigations.
  • Support EHS management requirements on report writing, statistical analysis and incident & accident trend studies.
  • Oversee the Emergency Response Team (ERT) program at the local site(s).
  • Collaborate in the implementation of the corporate sustainability program.
  • Act as a liaison to ensure compliance with the corporate business continuity program.
  • Provide input and guidance for Global EHS programs.
  • Collaborate in the creation of the annual EHS budget for the local site(s).
  • Determine project scope, acquire vendor quotes, set up new suppliers, provide justification to fund purchase orders.
  • Where contracts are required, collaborate with contracts team to review, negotiate, and execute.
  • Have responsibility for regulatory reporting to, federal, state, and local agencies as the need arises.
  • Maintain document management system such that documents can be easily retrieved to demonstrate EHS compliance.
  • This position may involve travel to other regional locations to conduct EHS regulatory compliance audits to evaluate compliance, identify potential hazards, develop job hazard analyses or risk assessments, and conduct/receive EHS training.

  • Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
