EHS & Quality Intern
About The Position

Leveraging the unique qualities of its facilities, the company serves customers in a wide range of consumer and commercial products in the Health, Home & Beauty; Food & Beverage; Industry & Agriculture; Essential Ingredients; and Renewable Fuels markets. The Pekin campus produces products destined for Health, Home& Beauty; Food and Beverage; Industry & Agriculture; Essential Ingredients; and Renewable Fuels markets. All personnel are responsible for the safety of these products, which includes participation in training, following cGMP and feed/food safety requirements in the facility, and following procedures per instruction of management. This position will be responsible for assisting the EHS & Quality team with daily tasks.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Currently enrolled student or recent graduate in a relevant EHS or STEM-related discipline
- Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word preferred
- Detail oriented with strong organizational skills
- Previous EHS or quality experience preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
- Team player
- Ability to handle multiple tasks
- Adept at learning new processes
- Valid driver’s license
Responsibilities
- Formatting and uploading documents to the appropriate files
- Stocking environmental, lab, and safety supplies
- Reviewing daily cGMP logs for completion and accuracy
- Reviewing, and scoring JHA’s, LOTO, Hot Work, and Confined Space permits
- Review permits for incorrect use, or missing information
- Interact with various departments and prioritize the importance of their requests
- Scanning and filing documents
