The EHS Manager is responsible for leading, developing, and maintaining Environmental, Health, and Safety programs to ensure a safe, compliant, and environmentally responsible workplace at the Lancaster, OH facility. This role partners closely with site leadership, Regional EHS, and employees to drive EHS excellence, ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, and proactively identify and reduce risk. The EHS Manager plays a key role in fostering a strong safety culture while supporting operational goals and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Implement and maintain Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) programs aligned with ANDRITZ standards, local site risks, and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain and continuously improve site EHS processes in support of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 requirements and certification.
  • Regularly review and update EHS policies, procedures, and work instructions to ensure effectiveness and applicability to site operations.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal safety and environmental regulations, including OSHA, EPA, and state environmental requirements.
  • Maintain awareness of regulatory changes and industry best practices; assess site impact and lead implementation as required.
  • Manage environmental permits, inspections, reporting, and compliance activities as applicable.
  • Conduct safety and environmental risk assessments, job hazard analyses, and workplace audits to identify and control hazards.
  • Lead incident, near‑miss, and environmental event investigations; perform root cause analysis and ensure effective corrective and preventive actions are implemented.
  • Proactively identify trends and emerging risks and partner with site leadership to reduce exposure.
  • Deliver EHS training for employees, contractors, supervisors, and management.
  • Support leadership in driving a strong safety culture through engagement, communication, and visible leadership involvement.
  • Promote employee participation in EHS initiatives, observations, and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Support site environmental initiatives including waste reduction, spill prevention, energy efficiency, and environmental risk management.
  • Assist in environmental inspections, audits, and corrective actions to maintain compliance and minimize operational impact.
  • Maintain accurate EHS records, including inspections, audits, training, incidents, and regulatory documentation.
  • Prepare and present EHS performance updates to site and regional leadership using ANDRITZ reporting tools and systems.
  • Partner closely with site leadership, operations, maintenance, engineering, HR, and corporate EHS teams to support operational goals.
  • Support regional EHS initiatives and alignment with ANDRITZ North America and Group expectations.
