EHS Manager
About The Position
Nucor Steel Marion is seeking a leader for the position of EHS Manager. The successful candidate will not only bring continued focus on obtaining world-class safety performance but will bring further motivation to a highly performing team of operators. Additionally, the successful candidate must be able to work collaboratively throughout the division leadership team to inspire the entire operation. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Requirements
- 5 years of leadership experience
- 4-year degree in Engineering, Environmental or other related science, or equivalent work experience in a technical-related field
- Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
- Candidates must be able to perform all essential functions of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
Nice To Haves
- Prior Steel industry leadership experience
- Experience in environmental permitting for all media (air, water, waste)
- Experience in environmental law
- Experience in radiation safety
- Experience in ISO 14001 programs
- Experience in environmental auditing
- Experience in environmental operations (water systems, pollution control devices, waste management).
