The Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Manager is responsible for integrating EHS practices into project delivery and ensuring compliance with regulatory and corporate SHEMS requirements on assigned projects. They partner with EHS staff, superintendents, project management, and regional EHS leadership; conduct site inspections and observations to verify proper use of safety equipment and controls. Key duties include developing and administering EHS programs and training; leading surveys, inspections, and incident investigations; maintaining EHS records and performance data; managing subcontractor EHS onboarding and documentation; supporting safety and pre-construction meetings; and leading site walks, compliance checks, and emergency preparedness activities. The role requires strong communication, proficiency with digital EHS tools, and the ability to track leading and lagging indicators to drive continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in a role assigned to the identification of safety hazards and recommending appropriate controls
  • 5+ years of experience in a safety role that required communication with employees at all levels in a construction environment
  • OSHA 30 certification
  • Strong written communication skills
  • Proficiency with computer software including Microsoft Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Safety Management, Engineering, or 8 years equivalent experience plus minimum 7 years prior relevant experience.
