About The Position

Spreetail is seeking an EHS Manager for its fulfillment center in Ellabell, Georgia. This is an onsite, five-days-per-week individual contributor role responsible for both the strategy and hands-on execution of safety programs. The manager is expected to spend significant time on the warehouse floor conducting walk-throughs, investigating incidents, and delivering training. With no dedicated Safety Supervisors, the role independently carries out the work needed to protect associates and keep safety programs audit-ready. The role owns injury metrics, including ORIR and LTI rates, and works with Operations to identify root causes and complete corrective and preventive actions. It also oversees OSHA recordkeeping and investigations, safety training completion, monthly safety audits, emergency preparedness, and proactive workers’ compensation management. Spreetail describes a results-oriented culture that encourages taking time off when needed and promotes diversity, inclusion, and community involvement.

Requirements

  • At least 6 years of safety or EHS experience in roles of progressive responsibility.
  • Formal or extensive regulatory experience, including ownership of OSHA 300 logs, complaint response, and onsite regulatory support.
  • Experience supporting multi-shift operations, including night and weekend shifts.
  • Direct experience conducting Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), safety audits, incident investigations, and root cause analyses.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently own and execute integrated safety programs without Safety Supervisor support.
  • Comfort spending a significant portion of each shift on the warehouse floor and working onsite five days per week.

  • Partner with P&C to maintain new-hire and PIT training completion at or above 95% across associates and departments.
  • Ensure new-hire onboarding safety training is completed before an associate's first shift on the floor.
  • Conduct and score monthly safety audits, track open items through closure, and improve audit results quarter over quarter.
  • Maintain current and posted emergency response plans, evacuation procedures, and first-aid resources, and regularly conduct drills across all shifts.
