About The Position

Lead environmental and health and safety initiatives within a fast-paced, heavy manufacturing environment. As a key member of the facility leadership team, this role is responsible for EH&S regulatory compliance, safety culture, environmental programs, site security, and EH&S training, ensuring company goals and milestones are achieved. This highly collaborative leader partners closely with Operations management, supervisors, and hourly team members to strengthen safety, drive compliance, and promote a proactive EH&S culture across the facility.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in an EH&S related discipline or Engineering
Minimum of 5 years of progressive EHS experience
Large site heavy manufacturing experience

ASP, CSP, CIH, CHMM, or PE preferred but not required

Responsibilities

Partner with site leaders to drive EH&S strategy, compliance, audits, and a strong, proactive safety culture.
Lead environmental programs and reporting, including NPDES/stormwater, wastewater, hazardous waste, Title V/air emissions and permits, and Tier II.
Maintain OSHA compliance and programs covering LOTO, machinery, NFPA, welding, cranes, PITs, PPE, hazard communication, and other general industry standards.
Lead industrial hygiene programs and provide EH&S technical support for plant operations and projects.
Lead incident reporting, root-cause investigations, corrective actions, and follow-through to resolution.
Develop emergency response plans and serve as the site's emergency coordinator.
Analyze safety metrics, identify trends and risks, and implement strategies that reduce injuries and improve EH&S performance.
Monitor regulatory changes, maintain required OSHA records, and partner with the onsite medical team on return-to-work programs.
