About The Position

The Environmental Health, and Safety Manager will develop, coordinate, and implement health policies and procedures to promote and ensure effective safety operations in the organization.

Requirements

  • Extensive knowledge of environmental regulations and policies.
  • Extensive knowledge of Occupational Safety and Health Administration standards.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to conduct training.
  • Proficient in technology and equipment used in environmental inspections.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Health and Safety, Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Safety, Environmental Health, or related field required.
  • Willingness to travel to additional Precinmac entities, including but not limited to Viper Northwest, with regularity.

Nice To Haves

  • Five years of related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Inspects the facility to identify safety, health, and environmental risks.
  • Inspects safety equipment; recommends replacements.
  • Conducts safety inspections and audits to assess employee compliance with safety regulations.
  • Develops and implements inspection policies and procedures, and a schedule of routine inspections.
  • Drafts inspection reports to document inspection findings.
  • Develops and implements health and safety policies and procedures for all areas of the company.
  • Reviews existing safety training and recommends revisions, improvements, and updates.
  • Prepares and schedules training to cover emergency procedures, workplace safety, and other relevant topics.
  • Provides technical and administrative support to the safety committee.
  • Stops operations and activities that could harm employees or equipment.
  • Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local safety laws, regulations, codes, and rules.
  • Ensures completion of required OSHA recordkeeping and reporting.
  • Ensures that material safety data sheets are maintained and readily accessible when needed.
  • Maintains records of discharge or employee exposure to hazardous waste and/or pollutants, as required.
  • Completes accident and incident reports.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
