Requirements
- Typically requires University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in environment, health and safety
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor's degree in related field in Environmental & Occupational Health
- Prior relevant experience in managing safety programs
- Experience in the development and execution of RCCAs
- Experienced in conducting and developing creative EH&S training
Responsibilities
- Under the direction of the EH&S Manager, support and implement Safety and Environmental programs including, but not limited to, LOTO, Electrical Safety, Machine Guarding, Contractor Safety, and Job Hazard Assessments
- Monitor, administer, evaluate and coordinate company EH&S programs to ensure a safe workplace
- Develop and advises employee workplace programs related to safety and environmental health
- Coordinate confirmation of policies and programs in accordance with industry and government regulations
- Collaborate across departments to achieve and maintain consistency of EH&S program implementation
- Conduct regular site inspections for compliance with EH&S programs
- Analysis of leading and lagging safety performance indicators for trends to drive corrective actions
- Serve as EHS representative for assigned building and functional safety council
- Conduct injury investigations and root cause analysis, develop corrective actions and track to completion
- Contribute to the development and implementation of EH&S strategic initiatives that drive continuous improvement
- Develop programs, processes and procedures to improve EH&S programs, culture for employees and contractors
- Support the improvement of business and site EH&S communications plan
- Support emergency response and enterprise preparedness programs
- Provide instructor led training on various safety topics
- Provide support for other site EH&S programs such as safety and environmental
- Support the site to meet EH&S requirements for upcoming internal and external audits including Cal VPP, AS9100 and other internal company assessments
- May need to travel to support Enterprise and Raytheon initiatives
