EHS Engineer - Contract

About The Position
DISHER is seeking an experienced EHS Engineer to support a two-year project with a customer team in the medical device industry. The role provides site-level environmental, health, and safety support across the program and involves working independently as the site's EHS presence. The engineer will help ensure that equipment and processes meet applicable OSHA and ISO requirements and are safe and ergonomic.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in manufacturing engineering, EHS engineering, or a related engineering field.
- Experience conducting risk assessments and equipment safety reviews.
- Ability to understand and interpret OSHA and ISO standards.
- Experience conducting ergonomic assessments for new and relocated assembly processes.
- Proactive mindset focused on preventing issues.
- Ability to operate independently as the site EHS presence during the program.
- Medical device or similarly regulated manufacturing experience.
Responsibilities
- Execute EHS support across the program at the site level.
- Complete risk assessments and equipment safety reviews for all new and relocated equipment.
- Ensure new processes comply with OSHA and ISO requirements and are safe and ergonomic.
