About The Position

We are seeking an Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Specialist to provide on-the-floor EHS support at our manufacturing facility. This is a contract position for 6 months, working onsite Monday to Friday from 7 AM to 3 PM EST. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a relevant safety certification.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering with a safety certification.
• Demonstrated experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong working knowledge of OSHA regulations and compliance requirements.
• Strong working knowledge of Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) programs and machine safety.
• Strong working knowledge of Fall Protection requirements and implementation.
• Strong working knowledge of Dock safety, including pedestrian and powered industrial vehicle interactions.
• Strong working knowledge of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 Management systems.
• Strong working knowledge of Emergency Response Programs, emergency preparedness, and incident management.
• Strong working knowledge of Risk assessment and hazard identification methodologies.
• Strong working knowledge of Incident investigation and corrective action processes.
• Strong working knowledge of Employee safety engagement and behavior-based safety initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Conducting routine floor audits and safety observations.
• Supporting employee engagement and safety initiatives.
• Assisting with incident investigations and corrective action follow-up.
• Monitoring compliance with applicable EHS policies and procedures.
• Providing guidance and coaching to operators, supervisors, and managers on EHS matters.
• Assisting with hazard identification and risk reduction activities.
• Supporting safety training and communication efforts as needed.
• Maintaining EHS documentation and assisting with compliance-related activities.
