Currently, we have an opening for an Environmental Health and Safety Coordinator. The EHS Coordinator is responsible for promoting continuous improvement in an area of expertise within Environment, Health and Safety to improve performance and/or develop EHS as a business advantage. This role is the primary point of contact for analytical and performance measurement data and for health & safety leading and lagging indicators. Are you interested in health and safety? Requirements

  • Post-Secondary education in a related area of study (Occupational Health, Environmental Health or other)
  • Experience in reporting and analytics capacity and producing high-quality data driven deliverables.
  • Knowledge in data management systems.
  • Skilled in collecting, combining transforming raw data from multiple sources (SQL database, SharePoint Libraries, excel/CSV files).
  • Strong skills in database querying with Power Query in Microsoft Excel/Power BI and data management applications.
  • Knowledge and experience with business intelligence tools/relational database applications.
  • Demonstrated experience with policy development, training development and roll out.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of an integrated team.
  • Detail-oriented with good time management and organizational skills.
  • Computer literacy and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Valid driver’s license.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of applicable EHS legislation is considered an asset.
  • French-English bilingual proficiency an asset (both spoken and written).

Responsibilities

  • Compiling and providing monthly reports to Sandvik stakeholders
  • Compiling and providing local leading and lagging indicators to internal Sandvik stakeholders and database
  • Uploading monthly targets into EHS360 (Sandvik database)
  • Support the communication for supervisors in the incident management process.
  • Support the revisions of the organization’s environmental, health and safety procedures and forms.
  • Calculating and documenting work performance and training programs.
  • General EHS enquiry line and contact
  • Providing recommendations for revisions to policies and procedures, as required, to reflect changes in legislation, legal requirements and/or business requirements.
  • Assisting and coordinating the upkeep and document control process.
  • Other duties as assigned.
