About The Position

The EHS Coordinator will plan inspections, coordinate activities, and support hazardous materials management, incident investigations, and EHS record maintenance. This role involves ensuring compliance with ISO 14001, developing EHS reports, and implementing training programs. The coordinator will also research and advise on new EHS measures to drive continuous improvement and support additional initiatives as assigned by Corporate EHS management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in industrial hygiene, environmental health, or a related field, or equivalent experience evaluating and controlling environmental and occupational exposures.
  • 5 or more years of recent experience supporting environmental programs and industrial hygiene initiatives with comparable scope and responsibility.
  • Demonstrated experience with chemical management in warehouse operations and employee training on safe chemical handling/storage.
  • Demonstrated experience with environmental compliance and permitting activities.
  • Demonstrated completion of certifications such as First Aid, CPR, AED, Stop the Bleed, Safe Driving, and related training.
  • Familiarity with powered industrial truck safety, warehouse operations, chemical compliance requirements, and industrial hygiene principles.
  • Knowledge of applicable state and federal OSHA regulations, with the ability to support EHS requirements for existing and newly added LSL sites.
  • Hands-on experience creating and maintaining SOPs in accordance with regulatory, safety, and compliance requirements (e.g., EHS, OSHA, ISO, or similar frameworks).
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint.
  • Ability to track and maintain incidents throughout the LSL systems and databases.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be able to travel approx. 25% of the time.
  • Must be able to successfully pass all preliminary employment requirements (i.e., background check and drug screen).
  • Verification of Licenses held.

Nice To Haves

  • RCRA, DOT, OSHA, ISO 14001, and HAZWOPER certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Plan inspections and coordinate required activities and follow-up actions with facilities and operations teams.
  • Support LSL locations with hazardous materials management, including maximum allowable quantities (MAQs), HAZMAT training, hazardous waste handling, chemical approval and inbound requests, PPE assessments, and proper storage requirements.
  • Investigate incidents, document findings, and support required reporting and follow-up actions.
  • Manage and maintain EHS records and reports within the designated databases.
  • Support and maintain compliance with ISO 14001, including environmental management system requirements.
  • Develop EHS reports, present findings to departments and stakeholders, and ensure proper documentation and record retention.
  • Develop, implement, and track supplemental training programs as needed for LSL operations.
  • Research, evaluate, and advise on new environmental, health, and safety (EHS) measures and procedures to drive continuous improvement.
  • Support additional initiatives and responsibilities as assigned by Corporate EHS management.
