About The Position

The EHS Coordinator at Vestcom, an Avery Dennison company, supports environmental compliance, occupational health, and safety programs across U.S. manufacturing facilities. Working autonomously with limited supervision, the coordinator conducts hazard assessments, leads root-cause incident investigations, and promotes a culture of safety and continuous improvement. The role offers potential career advancement across Vestcom and Avery Dennison. The position is based near one of Vestcom’s manufacturing sites, including Dallas, Texas, and requires travel of up to 10%. The stated schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The hiring rate is $20.88–$27.84 per hour.

Requirements

1–3+ years of experience in EHS, occupational safety, or environmental compliance.
Foundational understanding of OSHA and EPA regulations, hazard assessments, and waste management practices.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence and educate team members across all levels of the organization.
Strong problem-solving mindset, high personal accountability, and a collaborative approach.
Proficiency with Google Workspace or office tools.
Ability to travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities

Implement EHS systems, conduct facility audits, and ensure daily adherence to OSHA, EPA, and internal EHS standards.
Facilitate risk assessments, self-inspections, and root-cause analyses; address deficiencies and track corrective actions.
Develop and deliver site training and advise facility leadership and staff on EHS matters.
Monitor leading and lagging performance indicators, track EHS metrics, and notify leadership or regulatory agencies of incidents as required.
Stay current on regulatory laws and partner with multi-site teams to support corporate EHS and sustainability initiatives.
