About The Position

Our team is a diverse and nimble group that manages Apple’s retail stores, workplaces, and workplace services. We develop and manage Apple’s global real estate portfolio, lead all related capital construction projects, provide outstanding facilities and site services, develop and lead sustainability initiatives to reduce the environmental impact of all Apple facilities, including commute and renewable energy programs, and do everything we can to ensure the health and safety of all Apple personnel, facilities, and customers in our facilities around the world. The Environmental Health & Safety team at Apple is growing and we are looking for an upbeat, dedicated and flexible professional to join a team committed to protecting the environment, health, and safety of our employees, customers and the global communities where we operate, while supporting our partners in their mission to develop amazing products. As Apple's EHS Lead, you will provide all aspects of EHS support across a variety of workplace settings including but not limited to office spaces, content production stages, and research laboratories. You are a self-starter who can work independently, anticipate the needs of the team, and take initiative to seek out improvement opportunities. You are inventive, ambitious, and highly organized individual who enjoys solving problems in creative ways in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of EHS experience
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant EHS discipline
  • Knowledge of hazard identification, risk assessment, and incident investigation methodologies
  • Experience in developing, maintaining and implementing written EHS programs and processes, tools, and materials
  • Experience providing laboratory and facilities EHS support
  • Ability to be on call and work off hours as needed

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in a relevant EHS discipline
  • EHS experience in multi-national companies
  • Nationally recognized professional credentials preferred (i.e., Board Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM))

Responsibilities

  • Provide all aspects of EHS support across a variety of workplace settings including but not limited to office spaces, content production stages, and research laboratories.
  • Act as a first responder in emergency scenarios.
