In this role, you will be the core technical owner of our integration pipeline. You will ensure that vital cardiac monitoring reports seamlessly and securely flow into clinical charts. The ideal candidate brings strong hands-on experience building custom interface pathways using Mirth Connect, writing production-grade JavaScript, and working directly with hospital IT teams from a remote environment.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience working in Healthcare IT with a focus on EHR system integrations.
  • Proven, practical experience developing and managing channels within the Mirth Connect (NextGen Connect) integration engine.
  • Proficiency in JavaScript for writing custom transformers, filters, and scripts within an integration environment.
  • Deep understanding of HL7 messaging structures and interface protocols (TCP/IP, LLP, SFTP, VPN).
  • Proven ability to work independently in a fully remote environment, managing multiple hospital deployment timelines effectively.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Health Informatics, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).

Nice To Haves

  • Solid experience writing SQL queries and managing relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, SQL Server, MySQL).
  • Prior experience working with cardiac device clinics, electrophysiology data, or remote medical device monitoring workflows.
  • Professional certifications in HL7/FHIR or vendor-specific EHR badges (e.g., Epic Bridges).

Responsibilities

  • Build, configure, and maintain robust, high-availability integration workflows using the Mirth Connect interface engine.
  • Write clean, efficient JavaScript scripts within Mirth to handle complex data transformations, filtering, and custom routing logic.
  • Query, update, and manage relational databases using SQL to validate data integrity and track interface performance metrics.
  • Design and map interface payloads utilizing HL7 (v2/v3) messaging standards and emerging FHIR APIs.
  • Lead remote end-to-end testing cycles with hospital IT personnel, validating interface configurations in test environments before driving them to production.
  • Serve as the technical point of contact to troubleshoot and resolve advanced interface dropouts, database connection issues, or transmission failures.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary and bonus structure
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance
  • Retirement savings plan - 401(k) - with company match
  • Paid time off (PTO) and holidays
  • Professional development and training opportunities
