With 152 licensed beds and more than 500 employees, the hospital averages 31,000 Emergency Department visits annually. East Liverpool's medical staff is comprised of more than 160 physicians with an additional 21 resident physicians completing their training in Family Medicine and Internal Medicine. The hospital provides 24/7 emergency services, general surgery, medical stabilization for substance abuse, behavioral health for adults over the age of 55, and remains the ONLY cardiac rehabilitation program in Columbiana County. Under the minimal direction, this position will be responsible for the implementation, optimization, and support of these Electronic Health Record (EHR) platforms, ensuring seamless clinical and administrative operations. This position will collaborate with clinical, administrative, and IT teams to assess needs, troubleshoot issues, and ensure efficient workflows. This role requires independent responsibility, discretion, and decision-making on critical tasks, with minimal oversight. It involves prioritizing tasks, managing time efficiently, and consistently meeting deadlines.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent if hired before 9/2026 required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare IT, Computer Science, or a related field required if hired after 9/2026
  • 2+ years of experience working with Epic, Meditech, CPSI, Cerner EHR systems
  • Proven track record of implementing and optimizing EHR systems
  • Experience in healthcare workflows, clinical operations, and administrative processes
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues
  • Excellent communication skills for collaborating with clinical staff and IT teams
  • Experience in system configuration, data integration, and reporting
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Understands hospital business operations and structure, general requirements in an integrated delivery system, and use of IT applications in the practicing healthcare environment
  • Open to travel when required

Nice To Haves

  • Epic Certification in at least one module (e.g., ClinDoc, Ambulatory, Orders)
  • Meditech Certification
  • Cerner or CPSI or other EHR Certification
