About The Position

The EH&S Planning Specialist II plans, coordinates, and reports on site environmental, health, and safety programs in a lithium-ion battery manufacturing environment. The position supports annual EH&S planning, performance reporting, budget coordination, corporate requirement implementation, and day-to-day safety program execution. It also serves as a bilingual liaison between the site EH&S team, LG Energy Solution headquarters, Korean management, and Korean-speaking partners. The role works with moderate independence under EH&S leadership; significant, unusual, or high-risk matters are escalated for review and decision. This essential position requires regular on-site attendance and flexibility in work hours, including early-morning or evening meetings with headquarters in Korea, off-shift coverage, and support during audits, incident response, emergencies, or operational disruptions when safe. Occasional domestic and international travel to headquarters and affiliated sites may be required. The work combines office duties with regular presence in production and support areas, in a fast-paced manufacturing environment that may involve hazardous materials, industrial chemicals, noise, heat, dust, and mechanical equipment. PPE must be worn in designated areas. The position has no direct reports but may guide and coordinate other EH&S staff on assigned projects. It holds stop-work authority for imminent hazards and represents the EH&S department in meetings as delegated by EH&S leadership.
