About The Position

The EHS Manager plays an essential role in establishing and promoting a culture of safety within the specific sites they are assigned, focusing on compliance with both internal EHS policies and external regulatory requirements. This position involves overseeing EHS protocols at a specific site, ensuring the site adheres to the highest standards of workplace safety and health.

Requirements

  • OSHA 30 required
  • Minimum 8 years prior experience working within the commercial or industrial construction industry, including manufacturing, pipeline, mining, food and beverage, power, and refining environments with at least 5 years in a safety role
  • Working knowledge of OSHA regulations, standards, and other applicable codes/regulations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to assess potential hazards and risks within operations and develop and implement strategies to mitigate them effectively
  • Valid driver’s license and proof of insurability is required (if driving is required)
  • Compliance with all applicable safety regulations, personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements, and Loenbro's Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S) policies

Nice To Haves

  • CSST or BCSP preferred
  • OSHA 500 preferred
  • MSHA Certification or background preferred

Responsibilities

  • Overseeing EHS protocols on our construction sites throughout the Austin area, ensuring our sites adheres to the highest standards of workplace safety and health
  • Conducting regular audits, providing training, and implementing EHS programs to minimize risks, reduce workplace accidents, and maintain a safe, healthy environment for all employees
  • Collaborating with various departments and site leadership teams to support the organization’s commitment to safety, demonstrating the importance of proactive measures in safeguarding the well-being of its workforce
