About The Position

The EHS Manager plays an essential role in establishing and promoting a culture of safety within the specific sites they are assigned, focusing on compliance with both internal EHS policies and external regulatory requirements. This position involves overseeing EHS protocols at a specific site, ensuring the site adheres to the highest standards of workplace safety and health.

Requirements

OSHA 30 required
Minimum 8 years prior experience working within the commercial or industrial construction industry, including manufacturing, pipeline, mining, food and beverage, power, and refining environments with at least 5 years in a safety role
Working knowledge of OSHA regulations, standards, and other applicable codes/regulations
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to assess potential hazards and risks within operations and develop and implement strategies to mitigate them effectively
Valid driver’s license and proof of insurability is required (if driving is required)
Compliance with all applicable safety regulations, personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements, and Loenbro's Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S) policies

Nice To Haves

CSST or BCSP preferred
OSHA 500 preferred
MSHA Certification or background preferred

Responsibilities

Overseeing EHS protocols on our construction sites throughout the Austin area, ensuring our sites adheres to the highest standards of workplace safety and health
Conducting regular audits, providing training, and implementing EHS programs to minimize risks, reduce workplace accidents, and maintain a safe, healthy environment for all employees
Collaborating with various departments and site leadership teams to support the organization’s commitment to safety, demonstrating the importance of proactive measures in safeguarding the well-being of its workforce
