About The Position

The Environment, Health and Safety (EH&S) Generalist works with site EH&S and Operations to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local requirements. You will support Collins Aerospace standards and the implementation and oversight for high-risk control programs in a complex manufacturing environment. The EH&S Generalist is an essential role on-site in Federal Way WA.

Requirements

  • University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience
  • Manufacturing work setting experience
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Nice To Haves

  • EH&S experience in the Aerospace Industry is preferred.
  • Knowledge/experience of in avionics/aerospace.
  • Excellent project management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure, at a minimum, company compliance with existing, new and emerging federal, state and international environmental and safety and health regulation.
  • Develop and deploy environmental and safety and health policies, systems, programs and processes.
  • Apply EH&S processes and implement improvements to established procedures.
  • Conduct full site inspections and participate in compliance audits.
  • Lead a compliance audit at a site of low to moderate complexity.
  • Collect and manage data and maintain data records.
  • Analyze data sets of moderate complexity and analyze data for trends.
  • Prepare regulatory reports and permit applications.
  • Lead EH&S teams and contribute on cross-functional committees.
  • Develop, manage and execute EH&S training programs including documentation and recordkeeping based on an assessment of requirements and needs.
  • Contribute to course development, delivery, and training program evaluation.
  • Develop solutions to a variety of complex problems.
  • Develop written and spoken internal and external communication.
  • Prepare reports, respond to surveys, develop and maintain documents, and contribute to teamspace or website content.
  • Lead process and information management mapping.
  • Assist in the design and development of simple applications and tools and portions of more complex ones.
  • Help investigate and resolve problems with process, tools and applications.
