About The Position

The Egg Transfer Associate transfers a specified number of eggs from egg buggies to setter machines. The role includes performing machine checks, moving egg buggies, and cleaning and sanitizing machines and surrounding equipment and areas. The associate must use and maintain personal protective equipment and comply with company policies, NCC Animal Welfare Guidelines, and applicable local, state, and federal policies, laws, and regulations. On-the-job training is provided. Benefits are available on day one. The stated shift hours are 4:00 PM–3:00 AM Monday–Tuesday and 7:00 AM–6:00 PM Friday–Saturday. The stated shift pay is $22.00 per hour.

Requirements

Ability to work unsupervised and self-motivate.
Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and extended shift hours.
Sound work ethic, honesty, and moral character.
Must wear personal protective equipment.
Ability to stand for up to 8 hours.
Ability to lift up to 60 pounds.
Ability to work with frequent heat exposure, including near incubators at 99.5°F, and exposure to wet and dusty environments.
Ability to frequently reach, bend, stoop, kneel, and crawl.
Ability to roll and push buggies weighing approximately 1,000 pounds.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or equivalent.
Hatchery or related poultry industry experience.
Basic math functions and skills.

Responsibilities

Perform machine checks.
Transfer eggs from buggies into setter machines.
Pull and push egg buggies.
Clean and sanitize machines, floors, drains, baskets, buggies, and other items as needed.
Comply with company policies, NCC Animal Welfare Guidelines, and applicable local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
Follow departmental and company safety policies and programs, and wear personal protective equipment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
