About The Position

Emplify Health by Gundersen Health System is seeking an EEG Technologist to join their team in La Crosse, Wisconsin. This is a full-time, onsite position with a 1.0 FTE (40 hours/week) available. The role involves obtaining thorough patient histories, performing EEG tests (including for sleep-deprived patients, routine EEGs, long-term monitoring, and consults for hospitalized patients), and assisting physicians with neurodiagnostic evaluations. The position also includes providing patient education and support during testing procedures. Requirements

• Graduate of an Electro neurodiagnostic or Polysomnographic program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or Approved ABRET EEG Exam Practice Pathway Track or Associate Degree Track (ABRET : EEG Exam)
• Registered Electro neurodiagnostic Technologist (REEGT) within 2.5 years of hire date
• Current Infant-Adult Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers (with hands on learning) from one of the following programs: American Heart Association or American Red Cross.

Responsibilities

• Obtain a thorough patient history.
• Perform and/or assist physician with EEG ensuring accurate and efficient neurodiagnostic evaluation.
• Including such things as EEG for sleep deprived patients, routine EEG’s, daytime long-term monitoring, and consults for hospitalized patients
• Provides patient education and overall support/comfort during testing procedures.
