About The Position

This is a contract position for an EEG Technologist / Neuro Diagnostics Specialist in Portland, OR. The role involves performing EEG testing for both inpatient and outpatient populations, monitoring and recording electrical brain activity, and preparing patients for neurodiagnostic procedures. The specialist will maintain accurate documentation using EPIC EMR, collaborate with healthcare teams, and respond to on-call requirements. The position requires floating between units as needed and ensuring compliance with hospital policies and safety standards. The role also includes maintaining and calibrating EEG equipment and educating patients about testing procedures. The work environment is a high-acuity hospital.

Requirements

  • Experience or training as an EEG Technologist or Neuro Diagnostics Technician.
  • Ability to work in a short-term acute care hospital environment.
  • Willingness to participate in rotating weekday and weekend on-call coverage.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow neurological testing protocols.
  • Ability to work with 1:1 patient assignments.
  • Ability to float between units as required.
  • Strong communication and patient care skills.
  • Ability to work full-time day shift schedule.
