About The Position

The EEG Technician I is responsible for performing and monitoring a full range of neurodiagnostic studies, including routine, continuous long-term EEG (cEEG), Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU) studies, inpatient/outpatient EEGs, and ambulatory EEG setups. The role requires strong technical skill, critical thinking, and the ability to recognize and respond to clinical and electrographic changes.

Requirements

  • Requires high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of EEG equipment and procedures
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Work requires the ability to communicate orally.
  • Work requires ability to reach and grasp objects as well as manual dexterity.
  • Work requires the ability to enter words and data into a computer or similar device.

Nice To Haves

  • One to two years of EEG Tech experience is preferred.
  • Current certification as an EEG Technician is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Participates in the administration of clinical tests to patients.
  • Manages individual work flow to ensure the completion of all assignments.
  • Demonstrates effective communication to facilitate the team concept.
  • Assists with the administration of the EEG Lab.
