The EEG Technician performs standard EEGs in all settings.

Requirements

• Current CPR certification
• Registered Electroencephalographic Technologist (R. EEG T.) (within 18 months of hire)

Nice To Haves

• Two years of hospital experience performing standard EEGs.

Responsibilities

• Perform standard EEGs in all settings.
• Perform standard wake, drowsy and sleep EEG tests with general supervision.
• Perform complex EEGs including extended and continuous EEGs with and without video.
• Perform patient scheduling and charge entry.
• Demonstrate technical competence, professional judgment, communication skills and sensitivity for the patient and family in crisis.
• Fulfill the essential functions of the position.
